June really snuck up on me this year (as it tends to do), but this year I’m not in a state of panic or worry. Rather, I feel a sense of awe, of peace, and of emerging from deep rest and renewal. He has been preparing me all these months, and I do not feel rushed or feel like I’m falling behind.
I feel rejuvenated and hold a sense of curiosity, excitement, and reverence for what He is going to do with me and through me in the months ahead. Today for #WednesdayPoetryClub, I’m sharing a little poem He gave me on the last day of 2024, and it’s a good reminder for me that God exists outside the bounds of space and time.
He’s still the Redeemer of time itself, but that doesn’t mean we need to keep ambling on like we have all the time in the world. I can feel His gentle prompting, I’m moving. Move with Me. Co-labor with Me. It won’t always be easy, but I will supply all the grace you need. In times of uncertainty, lean in so that I can take you deeper and higher with Me. How I long to reveal My heart and My mysteries to you. Walk with Me, My child, on the path that leads to life…
So, for now, I put one foot in front of the other. I walk calmly and steadily with my Lord and Savior, the One who will guide me along the path that He’s carved out especially for me.
And to you, my dear friends and readers, here’s a gentle reminder that He is with you. His Holy Spirit empowers you and continues to lead and guide you into all truth. Keep your eyes on the Author and Perfecter of your faith. The One who has chosen you before the foundation of the world. The One who strengthens you for whatever terrain you’re treading and goes before you.
So continue to hold His hand and trust Him like how a child does, having full confidence that you will always be gently led by His righteous right hand that sustains you.
